Fahrenheit:
(reviewed by Consumer Health
Digest.com) Fahrenheit contains a super-thermogenic compound that researchers
believe is the key to stimulating a woman's natural metabolism, around the
clock, whether you're working, playing, or resting! As long as you continue to
take Fahrenheit, it continues to do what you want it to do! Controlling the
Fat Cell Fahrenheit protects against fat storage when occasionally consuming
excess calories. Eliminating Carbohydrate Cravings Fahrenheit's supercharged
gel formula has a unique additional benefit of reducing cravings for
carbohydrate-rich foods! *Review by Nutrafitness: There isn't a
lot of feedback from consumers on this product yet, but it seems promising.
ConsumerHealthdigest.com gave it 3.5 stars so we will here as well. If you
have taken Fahrenheit, please go to our
forums and
tell us about it.

Tight! Lipolytic Edge: Tight!® has a
proprietary blend of over eight ingredients that attack fat loss from every
possible angle. The Synephrine, Sclareolide and Guggulsterones E & Z in Tight!®
increase resting metabolism, body fat breakdown and thyroid function, while the
Yohimbine mobilizes body fat from the hard to lose areas such as thighs, glutes
and abdominals. Vinpocetine is also included to support blood flow and
concentration, allowing you to stay alert, focused on your diet and motivated
for your workouts. Tight!® also has added Bioperine, a substance that
significantly enhances the absorption of the nutrients that it is taken with to
bring results even faster. Yohimbine or Yohimbe is an African based herb that is
used to enhance blood flow, increase energy and gives much the same feeling of
ephedra.
Rev
Xp: One of my new favorites, the results I get are the closest to
ephedra products. Has all the new ingredients to replace ephedra such as
synephrine and octopamine(cocoa extract), along with dandelion as an herbal
water pill. Of course, it has a pretty big dose of caffeine as well for
increased metabolic response. It did come with Synephrine, but I think that's
been replaced by clary sage extract, which is supposed to increase cAMP(the
priniciple fat-burning messenger). It has EGCG or Epigallocatechin (green tea),
Methylxanthine and Theobromine (cocoa extract) Everyone who has tried it loves it as a fat
burner/metabolic enhancer/energizer. It's about $40. Go
here to learn more.

Relacore: New and stimulant free, this diet product actually helps your
stress levels. From the Relacore website:
"According to government researchers, the link between
stress, tension, and excess belly fat is clear. High levels of cortisol – a
nasty little stress hormone – cause pound after pound of excess body fat to
accumulate around your waist and tummy… a health-threatening, figure-destroying
condition affecting an estimated 47 million Americans… mostly women."
It has a variety of herbs and vitamins to help fight off
stress and anxiety. So far, I've heard only good things about this product. You
notice the stress relief right away, but the weight loss could take a couple of
months from customer feedback. Also, the price at $49 could create stress by
itself. Overall, if you're looking for a stimulant weight loss aid this is a
good one to try.
Total Lean: Total Lean is for
people who are just starting a diet or have not tried supplements for weight
loss. I believe this is because is has a few basic ingredients like guarana for
energy and metabolism. Ginger, grape seed, and black tea serve as appetite
controls. You just take two a day before breakfast, although those who seem to
lose the most weight actually take another two before lunch. One of the best
things about Total Lean is its easy to use 14-day diet and excercise plan. The
sample diet is one of the best I've seen and includes
snacks. It retails only at GNC for 27.99 or 49.99 for a two-pack.

Zantrex-3:
According to a study done by the Zantrex-3 company, users of Zantrex-3
lost 546% more weight than the old Ephedra Xenadrene. This is saying a lot
because Xendrane RFA-1 was the best selling weight loss product on the market,
and it is itself ephedra free. The reason behind the significant advantage in my
opinion is the extreme amounts of caffeine combined with other stimulants like
ginseng and green tea. In fact, per serving(two pills) gives you almost the same
amount of caffeine as in 3 1/2 cups of coffee. You do this up to three times a
day! Now, they now include directions which say to only start with one pill in
the morning and one at lunch and work your way up to the recommended dose. For
about $50 bucks you get 84 pills. Feedback so far is mixed. Some complain it
upsets them or makes them very ill/sick. Others like Brittney Spears love the
stuff. If you start slow and work your way up, chances all you won't get sick.
My first day made me a little sick, but the next I was fine. If you have an
opinion about it, go to
http://www.nutrafitness.com/board and post about it.
Trim
Spa: Trim Spa baby! Anna Nicole's wonder supplement that
helped her lose 69 pounds! Ephedra free of course, this product has only a
little caffeine as it is more for appetite control. Fibrous herbs such as
glucomannan expand in your stomach leaving you feeling full so you quit eating
sooner. Go to TrimSpa.com to get specific info. Feedback from people is positive
so far though the main complaint is about the price: $40 for 60 tabs. This one
works mostly for those looking to curb appetite.

2: New ephedra free only. Information forthcoming

Thermo
DynamX: EAS's new fat burning post-ephedra. It contains the ephedra
replacement, citrus aurantium(synephrine), which some researches claim yields
the same results as ephedra(ma huang), without the side effects. Of course added
is caffeine from Yerba Mate and Green Tea, 200 mg. Octopamine HCL, another
component of citrus aurantium, may help mental energy/focus. Serving size is 3
capsules. It seems to be a good energy supplement, but the jury is out on the
weight loss results, certainly better than some new products on the market.

The Skinny PIll:
This is actually one pill, or can be a combination of many
pills, when taken according to Women's World, can help you lose dramatic weight,
STIMULANT FREE. Or at least caffeine and ephedrine free. The pills to take and
the dosages are as follows and can all be found at GNC:
L-Carnitine (an
amino acid that helps burn fat) 250 mg
HCA (hydroxycitric
acid- the same stuff in Hydroxycuts-see above) 400mg. and can be found in Garcinia Cambogia and Citrimax brand
Synephrine (
the mild stimulant that works a little like ginseng and is used in many ephredrine free formulas 4-8mg, comes usually from Citrus Aurantium or Bitter
Orange from 250-500mg's, standardized to 4%. Now called the 'ephedrine
replacement', the word even sounds the same. It seems to raise the body's
temperature up a bit thereby creating thermogenesis and fat burning. It is now
in most ephedra replacement diet aids, but the verdict is still out whether it
works as well or is safe. It definitely does not produce the same heart pounding
effects that ephedra/ephedrine did.
One review of preliminary studies concluded that Citrus
aurantium may actually be the best thermogenic substitute for ephedra. Preuss,
H.G. et al J Med, 33(1-4), 247, 2002.
Chitosan (a
marine shellfish non-digestible fiber) 250-500 mg taken before your fattiest
meal. This fiber binds on to the fat and helps you pass it rather than store it.
Chromium is the
final pill to take and it can help with sugar metabolism, therefore helping your
body burn more fat rather than sugar or muscle. Chromium has long
been touted a fat burning bill, but really just helps to equalize your blood
sugar level. The less sugar you have to burn, the more fat you can burn. This is
why it's useful for diabetics and other sugar related problems.
There you have it, for more information on
The Skinny Pill go to
http://www.skinnypill.com for the actually pill. Remember the individual
supplements can be found at GNC or some at your local grocer. For more info on
each of these supplements find them here or go to healthnotes.com or gnc.com.

Thermogenics
Plus Eph Free:
Lypolytics:
plus is a fat burner and the claim is that it breaks up the fat for energy and
that Thermogenics will help you burn it. Finally we have Metabolics
plus, which has a ton of herbal remedies for raising your metabolic rate a
little more naturally w/o all the hard core stimulants. Expensive but a good
stack to take if you're looking for something different. Success:
Not a lot of feedback from anyone in particular, but it has decent research to
back up it's weightloss claims.

Taraxatone:
Need an expensive water pill? This is it :)! This is bascially an herbal
diuretic that has a mushroom in it by the name of Taraxan and is supposed to aid
dramatically in water reduction so you get that real deep ripped look. Way
expensive and have had no Success feedback at all. Once again though supposed
research seems promising. Update Nov. 14 20004: This pill has been bumped to
cutting category, which means its really helpful in getting that tone look for a
show. As far as weight loss, the only loss will be water.

ChromaSlim: A
traditional 'fat burner', this product incorporates vitamins and minerals in a
way that allows your body to burn it's own fat off a little better. Not as good
as the stimulant fat burners in my opinion, but much safer as it does nothing to
the heart. Success: People trying fat burners for the first
time or are extremely overweight benefit the most from this type of product.
Dosage: 2 pills twice daily.
Xenadrine EFX:
Coming soon

Xenadrine NRG: Customer feedback
suggests this one works well and being timed release, you only take 2-4 in the
morning for the whole day. Also has better fat burning ingredients:
Vitamin B12 188mcg 3132% Norambrolide 37.5mg Proprietary
Thermoxanthin Blend: 454mg L-tyrosine, l-theanine, yerba mate leaf,
guarana seed, cocoa seed, green tea leaf, Green tea coffee bean extract, infused
with natural caffeine. I used this and thought it was great energy and did
actually lose some fat. A study done by them suggested that one group lost 4
times more body weight and 3 times more fat than the placebo. Of course, the
subjects were extremely overweight, but the study looks promising.
CLA:
Conjugated linoleic acid is a fatty acid, some say can reduce
body fat and increase lead body mass. It may even help prevent cancer and heart
disease and improve immunity. In an article in Natural Health , CLA may
prevent fat from being deposited into cells by speeding up the body's fat
metabolism, but requires an anabolic stimulus such as muscle-building exercise
to work. For cancer, scientists are unsure of the process, but think that
CLA may prevent cancer by slowing the abnormal rate of cell division.
Evidence: A small study in Norway found that those who took 3 grams of CLA a
day for 3 months had a 20 percent reduction in fat and an increase in muscle of
5 percent. Another study at Kent State showed novice bodybuilders who took just
over 7 grams a day for 6 weeks also gained 5 percent in lean muscle mass. For
cancer, a study in Cancer Research found that 57 percent of rat fed CLA
inhibited growth of precancerous cells. Dietary sources: Mainly found in
fatty meat and dairy. Best found in supplement form, in 1 gram capsules. Cost:
$24-30 for 90 pills. No side effects known, but not a lot of research done also.
Pyruvate: New info coming on this supplement soon!
